We
have exciting news for you this month. This month we were able to arrange
to have Sally Clarkson come to speak at our Exploring Homeschooling
meeting! I have been to her Women's retreat in Anaheim for the past two years and she has
been such a wonderful speaker to encourage mothers in raising wholehearted
children.
We are honored to have her for our June 27th monthly meeting. There is no
charge for the meeting and if you come and would like to give a love offering
to help cover her expenses you can do that. She is here for a luncheon
event in the mid afternoon and then will join us in the evening to encourage
new and old homeschooling moms. I hope you will take the opportunity to bring a
friend and share this information with everyone you can.
I hope you can make it for this special event. This month is special
because we are having a used curriculum sale at 4 pm. What is so special
about our used curriculum sale is that it is not just for 1 hour but it goes
from 4 pm to 7:30 pm. You leave your books on the table and you can join
us for the 5 pm meeting. After the 5 pm meeting you can sale until everyone
leaves for the night which is about 7:30 pm to 8 pm when we clean up and close
the church. As long as there are people there you can sell your used
curriculum to them or pick some up for yourself and your family!
With Sally coming into town to speak at our meeting, I think you will have a
lot of people at the meeting. This means there will be a lot of potential
buyers checking out your used curriculum. If you are planning to sell
your items, please let Sorojini know through email sorojiniz@yahoo.com that you want a
table. The cost is $5 per table. Childcare available:
To make it easier for families with little ones
to attend, we have childcare. Cost: $5 per child.
If you have a big family, you only have to pay for the first three children.
Children who can sit quietly with their parents in the meeting won't be charged
- however, they must sit right next to you, and cannot run around the meeting,
in the halls or outside unsupervised. Note: babies under 12 months old and
children with colds must stay with their parents in the meeting.

Enjoy snacks, fellowship,
and an opportunity to meet veteran homeschoolers and other families considering
homeschooling after the informative presentation.
