With the popularity of homeschooling on the rise, more and more vendors are offering their services especially to homeschoolers. Some vendors are willing to work with charter schools and the Purchase Order process. Others are not and only take payment directly from families. The following four links are to the approved vendor lists for the local charter schools. These vendors are familiar with working with homeschoolers and with the vendor approval and purchase order processes that the charter schools require: Sky Mountain: http://www.skymountaincs.org/search/search_vendors.php?services River Springs: https://www.ops-online.com/year11/rscs/public_vendor_search.htm Julian: http://vendors.juliancharterschool.org/ Mountain Peak: https://www.ops-online.com/year12/mpcs/all_public_vendor_search.htm Below is a list of service providers and classes available. This is certainly not an exhaustive list, but may be helpful (along with the above links) in finding a class or instructor specific to the local homeschool community. I try to keep this list to providers in the Inland Empire, but I may include services that are unique, popular, or well-respected which you may find are worth the drive. I have attempted to organize this growing list by the following categories: Classes, Fine Arts, Special Education, Sports & Fitness, Tutoring. *Please let me know if you offer a service or class to the homeschool community and would like to be included in this list: trishwelham@gmail.com. Keep in mind that I offer this service free of charge and only update my site once or twice a year so this list may not be current or complete. |

This is the type of art that was taught from the Renaissance until the 19th century to generations of young people. Not only does this type of art training improve brain function, but it also helps produce well-rounded, educated people. > > My students learn to draw and paint what they see, thereby developing skills that improve concentration, discipline, and other perceptive skills such as: seeing things in context, seeing the whole picture, seeing in proportion and perspective with spatial relations, intuitive thought, creative thinking, and problem solving. > > I teach sight-size and comparative drawing skills, light-logic and how to create the feeling of volume, composition, perspective, paint handling, color theory, and I encourage keeping an art journal. I stress learning to draw and paint what is seen, rather than what one thinks he sees. > I am currently a vendor with Sky Mountain, River Springs, and Sage Oak Charter Schools and Gorman Learning Centers, however, I also teach children and adults as private students ages 4 through high school and beyond. Lil' Kickers is a national, non-competitive program for boys and girls between the ages of 18 months to 7 years old. Lil' Kickers experienced instructors use creative, high energy games to build self-esteem, coordination, and help kids conquer the developmental milestones they face at each age. Here at our facility we offer classes through the week and on Saturdays, on several different fields. We would love to offer a field trip for your homeschooling program at our facility to try out our program. Or if you would be interested we could also come to your locations and teach the kids as their way of fitness for the day. If either of these things come to interest to you, please feel free to stop by and visit our facility at any time. |

Sports & Fitness: Tennis Instruction | Tennis 4 Kids | http://temeculatennislessons.com/QUICK_START_TENNIS.html | Temecula | My name is Heidi Betts and I have started teaching tennis to kids through the new USTA QuickStart program. I ran a couple Summer "Tennis Camps 4 Kids" that were very successful. Lot's of fun! I'm looking to provide Kids Tennis Camps for homeschooling kids during the week. I hold tennis camps on my Championship sized court out in the wineries of Temecula. I noticed that you had a lot of sports covered but I only saw one tennis option listed and it is in Riverside. It might be nice to have two so people closer to Temecula will not have to drive so far. I also started and run the Local Tennis league for adults called Temecula Team Tennis. I guess you can say that I'm a Tennis advocate. I just want to see more people, small and tall, out there hitting the ball! *smile* Maybe you can share my website as a resource to homeschooling parents or we can work together on something in the future. |
